Understanding Doula Care
Doula’s provide invaluable support to women at every step of their pregnancy.
What is a doula?
A doula is a non-medical professional trained to support mothers and families with physical, emotional, and evidence-based support and information before, during, and after birth.
What kind of care do doulas provide?
Doulas use a variety of evidence-based techniques to prepare a mother for birth. From massages and patterned breathing to reduce pain, to suggesting position changes to aid in fast delivery, doulas offer committed support and care throughout a woman’s pregnancy.
Why should I have a doula?
