Health Integration Prenatal To Three Program Grant (ECCS P-3 Program)

Who the ECCS Grant Helps

We are proud to have been awarded the ECCS grant to further our mission of promoting healthy, happy families. The ECCS P-3 Program is a comprehensive continuum of services for families who are expecting and those with infants and young children from newborn to age three. ECCS P-3 strengthens the role of families through planning and policy development.

The program focuses on gaps in services and unmet needs that affect families. It is a five-year endeavor ending in 2026 that extends the critical work of our previous ECCS efforts and aids the Florida ECCS Advisory Group in collaborating and delivering community-driven screening and parent leadership within our communities.

ECCS Strategies

Purpose and outcome-driven, ECCS has a variety of components that come together to connect families with the right resources at the right time.

Engaging Leaders

We engage a consortium of Florida leaders in maternal and child health and early education initiatives, such as Title V, Child Abuse Prevention & Treatment (CAPTA), Medicaid, and Children’s Health Insurance programs.

Intervention Planning

Knowing when and how to get involved is the key to better outcomes. We recommend effective ways to integrate maternal and child health interventions into Florida’s ECCS Strategic Plan.

Aligning Healthcare

Through Florida’s intake and referral system for pregnant women and newborns, also known as Connect, we are able to increase participation among healthcare providers.

Piloting Best Practices

We develop and implement best practices within communities for increasing prenatal screening and integrating maternal and child health into early childhood development and education.

Capacity Building

ECCS gives us the opportunity to educate and train tomorrow’s leaders, address issues that affect health and reproductive justice, and strive for continuous quality improvement.

Funding Tomorrow

By advocating for the adoption of innovative policies and financing strategies to support ECCS 3-P goals, we’re able to continue our life-changing work.
