​Fetal Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) Abstractor (Registered Nurse) Position – Healthy Start Coalition of Orange County

This 1099-Contractor, part-time position is responsible for coordination of the Fetal Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) program and for the abstraction and compilation of the FIMR data. The aim of the FIMR project is to enhance the health and well-being of women, infants, and families by improving the community resources and service delivery systems available to these families. FIMR brings together key members of the community to review individual fetal and infant mortality cases then develops and executes strategies to mitigate the circumstances that contributed to the fetal/infant death. The FIMR Nurse Abstractor is responsible for objectively capturing comprehensive quantitative and qualitative data related to the circumstances surrounding identified fetal and infant deaths and summarizing and interpreting medical findings for the rest of the FIMR team, the Case Review Teams (CRT), and the Community Action Groups (CAG).
